Be aware of Teen Depression

It is common for teenagers to rarely feel unhappy. But, when the unhappiness continues for more than two weeks, and the teen understanding other symptoms typical of depression, then he or she may be distress from depression.

High tension surroundings can direct to depression. Teens can increase feelings of insignificance and failure over school presentation, social relations, sexual orientation. If friends or family unit, or things that the teen regularly enjoys, don't help to develop his or her sadness or sense of loneliness, there's a good possibility that he or she is depressed.

What are the indications of Teen Depression?

Frequently, depressed teens will show a salient change in their thoughts and behavior, lose their enthusiasm, or become quiet. The following are the main signs of depression in teenagers.

* Unhappiness, disquiet, or a feeling of depression

* Loss of attention in food or habitual overeating that result in fast weight loss or gain

* Reside awake at night and sleeping throughout the day

* Disappearance as of friends

* Disobedient behavior, rapid drop in grades, or cutting school

* Complaints of trouble with headaches, stomachaches, low back pain, or tiredness

* Exercise of alcohol or drugs and immoral sexual activity

* An addiction with death and dying
