Homeopathy

Homeopathy is based on the thought that bulky doses of a substance cause a symptom, although extremely small doses of that same substance will cure it. Homeopathy was developed by an 18th century German doctor of medicine, Samuel Hahnemann, who found a system based on the olden thought of "like cures like." Homeopathic remedies are prepared from substances diluted thousands of times in water or alcohol.

Will homeopathy help out?

Nearly all scientists say homeopathic remedies are mainly water and can work only as placebos. A placebo is a "sugar pill" which comes out to reduce symptoms using mental suggestion. Though, homeopathic remedies involve by means of products that are secure and have no side effects. If only by the power of the mind, they can be used to decrease the symptoms of self limiting illnesses. Therefore, homeopathic remedies help a few people get through these troubles with fewer symptoms and may shorten the duration of these illnesses.
